FAQ - Bluebonnet Labs Administrative Hold
-
Is this a recall?
No! This is not a product recall. This is an administrative hold on flower and manufactured product that was sent to Bluebonnet Labs for testing. By placing a hold on product, more options are given to operators, rather than having to destroy everything immediately. CCD is conducting an investigation to see if, product that was sent to Bluebonnet Labs was actually tested. If the product was tested and the testing was conducted to New Mexico standards, CCD will begin releasing product. The investigation should take 10 – 15 days to complete.
-
How do I comply with the administrative hold?
If you haven’t already, segregate any product that has been tested by Bluebonnet Labs in your vault or storage area immediately. The product should be quarantined away from other products and should be labeled “Quarantined for Administrative Hold.” This product is not to be sold.

What options do I have?
Option one is to wait 10 – 15 days for the CCD investigation to be completed. If the product was tested to New Mexico standards, it will be release for sale.
Option two is to have the product retested prior to the completion of the CCD investigation. According to the bulletin, retesting is to be completed by producers and manufacturers. When submitting a sample identify it as a “Bluebonnet Labs Administrative Hold Retest”. When the retest is complete, notify any licensees that have purchased product that it has been submitted for a retest. You’ll also need to submit the retest COA to CCD for the hold to be released. If you no longer have the material that was tested, the retailer in possession with the largest volume of product may be designated as the sample sender. Send CCD an email here.
Option three is to destroy any product you have remaining that was sent to Bluebonnet Labs. Operators can do this under their normal destruction procedure, however must email CCD stating that they would like the administrative hold removed from Bluebonnet product so that it can be destroyed immediately. Send CCD an email here.
